How to join

We are honored that you are considering membership at Immanuel
Lutheran Church.  Helping you to connect with Christ is our top
priority. Connecting with Christ happens by worshiping, learning, and
serving. Your first connection with Immanuel may be through any of
these three. In the process of becoming a member, we’ll encourage
you to practice all three.

   a word about membership

Church membership is different from other types of membership. Members of a golf club pay dues and in turn receive the privilege of golfing and dining at the club. Membership in a travel rewards program means that the more you spend the more points you get for travel.
Unlike either of these, church membership is not primarily about paying for privileges or earning points; it’s about connecting with a local group of people who are also connecting with Christ. We join not primarily to be served, but to serve. We join in order to be part of a community that strives to live out the kingdom of God for which Jesus lived, died, and rose.  Church membership is not about “jumping through hoops” or earning privileges; it is about a church and an individual being connected with and responsible for each other as God’s people connected with Christ.
