Wednesdays in lent: connecting with christ through baptism
During Holden Evening Prayer on Wednesday evenings in Lent, our worship will focus on renewing and strengthening our identity as baptized people of God whose lives demonstrate Jesus’ compassion and care. Using our baptismal font as a visual symbol of what Baptism means, each week will include both a time of teaching about Baptism, as well as a personal story from a member of Immanuel describing baptismal living. Along the way we will use the baptismal hymn, “God’s Own Child, I Gladly Say It” (1998 Hymnal Supplement,844)
