PRAYER + DEVOTION
Not too long ago, many of us lamented our frenzied lives. We had too much work and too little free time. Now, many of us lament the opposite. We have too much free time and too little to do. We can continue our lament, or we can see our current situation as an opportunity. We frequently make commitments during Lent that are hard to sustain in the busy-ness of our lives. Even outside of Lent, we frequently recognize that we should spend more time in prayer, reading the Bible, and growing in our faith. We now have the opportunity to do those things. Many of the world’s activities and distractions have been taken from us. While we lament why our activities are restricted, let’s use the time suddenly thrust upon us as an opportunity to pray, to read the Bible, and to grow in faith. Let’s develop some routines that are helpful now and may even be sustained once the busy-ness of the world resumes.
We intend the links on this page to be organic, continuing to grow through the nourishment of new ideas and new sites. If you know of sites that would help Immanuel (and this page) to grow, please forward them to Pr. Driver.
We're glad you're here!
At Immanuel, we believe that you can be transformed by experiencing life with God in Christ. Our mission is to equip people for this kind of transformation by connecting people with Christ in a life of worship, learning, and service, whether you are exploring Christianity for the first time or grew up attending church.
